Ecovillage Year Abroad Program

Many students wish to study abroad for a full year and live and learn in more than one Ecovillage. Participating in two consecutive Living Routes semester programs offers you unparalleled insights into diverse solutions for some of today's greatest social and ecological challenges.

Create your own year abroad by choosing among the following programs:

Costa Rica - Tropical Ecology, Development and Social Justice
Scotland - Human Challenge of Sustainability
India - Sustainability in Practice
Israel - Peace and Justice

Alumni of our Ecovillage Year Abroad Program have taken advantage of complementary curricula to pursue independent studies and projects in their areas of academic interest. They have also enjoyed experiencing the differing cultures, climates and expertise of Ecovillages on different continents. Other options for a longer-term experience include combining a semester and a Summer or January program. Contact us for more information about these opportunities.
