"A person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt a person doing it." – Ancient Chinese Proverb

If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a whole world of relationships to offer Living Routes accredited, ecovillage-based programs. Here are some of of our key affiliations and relationships:

School of Record

       University of Massachusetts Amherst

UMass-Amherst has been Living Routes School of Record since 2002(?).  Upon completing a Living Routes' program, students from any school receive a UMass Amherst transcript they can use to transfer credit back to their home school.

Our programs are vetted by UMass Amherst's standard Course Approval Procedures as well as their International Studies Council and Committee on Overseas Programs and Exchanges.  In addition, Faculty Sponsors review and stand behind each course and a Five College Advisory Committee meets at least once a year to consider and advise on Living Routes programs.

Affiliated Schools

While Living Routes is approved at more schools than even we know, the following are colleges and universities with which we have entered into a formal Affiliation Agreement:

Appalachian State University
DePauw University
Gustavus Adolphus College
Ithaca College
Lesley University
Northern Michigan University
Plymouth State University
Sarah Lawrence College
SUNY ESF
University of North Carolina Asheville
Warren Wilson College

This is a fairly new initiative for us and we expect to sign many more Affiliation Agreements over the coming years.  Please let us know if you think your school might be interested.
