Reports to: Administrative Director
Job type: Full-time
General duties: all day-to-day financial operations for the organization

• Manage accounting functions including billing, A/R, A/P, journal entries, and cash management
• Manage payroll and assist with human resources
• Maintain relationships with state and federal tax agencies
• Perform all bank reconciliations
• Prepare standard and ad hoc analyses of financial data for senior management team
• Timely, accurate reporting of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Assist with preparation of budgets
• Assist in annual audit
• Maintain accounting related policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned by the Administrative Director

• 4 years experience in accounting
• Excellent computer skills (Macintosh) and experience with Excel and Quickbooks

• Previous professional experience in accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance

General duties: Support the development, management, and evaluation of Living Routes’ programs and assist with marketing, recruiting and other related activities as needed.

• Manage program work plans, budgets and contracts with host ecovillages and faculty
• Assist with student recruitment, (e.g., speaking engagements, attending events and fairs)
• Create and maintain program files
• Manage Student and Academic Handbooks
• Support the development and implementation of Living Routes’ perpetual calendar
• Manage Health and Safety protocols and emergency contacts for programs
• Support cross-program development and standardization
• Support program weblogs and listservs
• Develop, implement and review program evaluations
• Manage pre and post program surveys
• Conduct post-program debriefings and create summary program reports
• Support regular program site reviews
• Support Living Routes’ carbon mitigation strategy for programs and office
• Maintain regular communications with field faculty/staff and meet regularly with office staff
• Support program communications with LR staff, Board, and supporters
• Support LR’s relationship with UMass-Amherst, faculty sponsors and other sending schools
• Offer general program support when needed
